Member Equipment Check-out

Equipment Checkout Guidelines

Toms River Chess Club members may borrow club equipment; chess clocks and chess sets, for use at official chess events such as tournaments. Equipment is available for checkout from both the Toms River and Manahawkin locations. Each location maintains 2 clocks and 2 sets available for member use.

Please review the following guidelines before submitting a request:

Equipment may be borrowed for a maximum of 2 weeks.
Members may only borrow equipment once every 3 months.
Borrowers must be current TRCC members in good standing.
Equipment is to be used only for chess related events.
Exceptions may be granted at the discretion of the Club President or a designated board member.
All damage or loss must be compensated. If a set or clock is returned damaged beyond reasonable use or not returned at all, the member must pay the full market value of the item. This behavior may result in suspension of borrowing privileges.

Pick-up Date

The pickup date must coincide with an official club meeting. For example: Tuesday, March 3, 2026.

Return Date

Equipment may be borrowed for a maximum of two weeks, and the return date must also align with an official club meeting. For example: Tuesday, March 17, 2026.

By checking this box, I confirm that I am a current Toms River Chess Club member in good standing. I understand that I am responsible for returning all borrowed equipment by the designated return date in similar condition to when it was issued. Failure to return the equipment on time or in acceptable condition may result in the loss of borrowing privileges, jeopardize my status as a member in good standing, and/or require reimbursement of the full market value of the item(s).
