Hal Sprechman
The Toms River Chess Club Executive Board is honored to unanimously award Hal Sprechman a life membership in recognition of his exceptional service to the chess community, both in New Jersey and beyond. As a former NJSCF President, a former member of the USCF Executive Board, and one of only two National Tournament Directors in Ocean County, his decades of organizing tournaments and contributing to key committees have had a meaningful impact on the chess world. His efforts have even directly benefited the Toms River Chess Club, particularly when he organized a USCF tournament for the club in 2010 after an extensive hiatus of tournaments at the TRCC. This life membership is a well deserved acknowledgment of his continuous commitment to the sport.

On Thursday, October 17th at 6:30 P.M. Hal Sprechman will be awarded a Life Membership from the Toms River Chess Club for his decades of service to chess here at the Jersey Shore and beyond.
